The Justice Research and Statistics Association

The Justice Research and Statistics Association is a national nonprofit organization of state Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) directors, researchers, and practitioners throughout government, academia, and criminal justice organizations dedicated to policy-orientated research and analysis. Created in 1974, JRSA serves to promote the exchange of information among the SACs, enabling them to work towards common goals, and as a liaison between the state agencies and the Justice Department.

JRSA provides…

  • access to the Infobase of State Activities and Research (ISAR), a clearinghouse of current information on state criminal justice research, programs, and publications
  • training in the latest computer technologies for records management, data analysis, Internet, forecasting, and other cutting-edge topics
  • reports on the latest research being conducted by Federal and State agencies, including the SAC Publication Digest and The JRSA Forum newsletter
